1. The women travel to the tomb (Mt 28:1 Mk 16:1-2 Lk 24:1 (cf Lk 24:10) Jn 20:1a) When the Sabbath was over, on Saturday night after sunset Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, Salome, Johanna and the others with them bought and prepared spices, so that they might go to anoint Jesus' body. On Sunday morning, Mary Magdalene left her home while it was still dark as stated in John 20:1. She met up with the other women, and they set off for the tomb just after sunrise [as stated in Mark 16:2, Matthew 28:1.
